and the whites have it...

your  votes are in
white: 50
beige: 5
other: 2
darn,
I should have done one of those little polls on the sidebar;
I've always wanted to

on datenight
we took one last spin
in the old neighborhood
to search for a color

we do know how to have a good time, don't we?

this was my favorite in the beige/tan colors

but nothing to get too excited about

we spotted this pretty little lady

turret heaven

and I found this image on pinterest
Yes, I've been dabbling a bit,  on pinterest
(just what i need is another place to get lost out there)

(my friend Becky's house that I just adore)

and this one on Facebook

(thanks, Debbie)
yes, these make my heart skip a beat

so, white it shall be

 here we are as of
Saturday A.M.

come on, hurry, isn't it ready, yet (kindof like are we there yet?)
paint already, will you...there can't be more loose paint,
can there?

I don't sound like an impatient kid, do I?

and...Saturday afternoon

this is just primer
our trial run to see what we think

we are now discussing minute amounts of colorant
to get just the right shade of white
oh, brother.c.r.a.z.y.
come on back later in the week
I am working on a post showing the progress and story of our gal
and
you just have to see what else is new here...

I think the white is going to work well. Have you chosen a colour(s) for the trim yet?

Oh you can bet I will be visiting often. I just love your house and can't wait to see her new wardrobe. She will be a beautiful lady. Good luck with your colors.

Your house is darling! If it were mine I would probably paint it a soft yellow with white trim but white will look fresh and pretty. Can't wait to see it all finished.

It will be stunning! Our house has that kind of trim at the top and it is what keeps us from siding it.... well that and the $$$$$ it would cost to do it! Have fun! t. xoxoxoxo

She is going to be oh so lovely! She's like a wedding cake with all of her gingerbread trim. I love her and you are blessed to live in such a wonderful old home.

Enjoy the painting process. The prep work is the worst, but must be done.

Looking forward to seeing her when she's all gussied up.

Your house is going to look incredible Rene. You and your husband must have tons of energy - you've been so busy this summer. The pictures of the Victorians are so pretty a real treat to look at. Blessings, Diane

not all white is the same. I think you made a good choice even though I may have mentioned beige. You will feel so good when it is finished! Meanwhile you have a taste of what it will be like with the primer in place. I hope it's not too hot there for your painting.

I am loving the white, there's something so classic and tranquil about a big white house that just says "HOME". And I know that yours is. Thanks for stopping by.

Your home will be fabulous in white. White will give it a "presence" that beige can not. It will look beautiful against the greens of spring and summer.

Your home is going to be just stunning. Now to help me find out a color for mine. We live on the main road through town and the road dust always makes our house look dirty so I need a color to hide it. I saw a beautiful old Victorian done in Eggplant. Oh my was it beautiful. But I have been trying to find a color now for years. We will see what this year brings.
Thanks for letting me know about being on pinkerest. that is funny.
Thanks for showcasing me as well.
Blessings to you my friend.
Hugs
Becky
